> More people now eligible to join ACA Health
> CGU Travel Insurance Discontinued
As a result of recent changes in the legislation, the eligibility criteria for joining ACA Health has been widened so that more people are now able to join.
ACA Health is a restricted-access health fund, which means that by law we may only insure people within our nominated employment group - which is the organisations of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The changes have affected our joining criteria whereby people who have ever been employed by an incorporated company of the Seventh-day Adventist Church can now join the Fund.
Previously the rule was that a person had to join the Fund while they were employed with the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The important consideration is that a person must have been employed when the employing entity was a separately incorporated company. The Seventh-day Adventist Church employing organisations began incorporating as separate companies between the years 2000 and 2003.
If you think this new criteria might allow you to now join us, we encourage you to have a wander through this website and learn about our excellent hospital and ancillary cover options, and contact us with any queries.
