Here are some practical and important questions to ask your Doctor when discussing your treatment in hospital:

1. Would you treat me under my fund's Access Gap Cover arrangements?
   
   
2. Will I incur any personal out of pocket expenses for my treatment and if so, can you give me a written estimate of how much?
   
   
3. Will any assisting doctors also use Access Gap Cover?
   
   
4. Are you prepared to send the bill to ACA Health directly, so that they can claim my Medicare benefit on my behalf and send the payment back to you?
   
   If your Doctor uses the Access Gap Cover scheme, but doesn’t claim on your behalf, make sure you send the claim to ACA Health first. If you send it to Medicare, the treatment will not be processed under the Access Gap Cover scheme and we will be unable to pay our gap benefits for you.
